‘The Simpsons’ Celebrate Earth Day With National Geographic Spoof ‘Yellow Planet’
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that Disney and National Geographic are celebrating Earth Month by raising awareness about environmental issues, encouraging conservation, and inspiring the next generation.
To that end, Disney and National Geographic announced the relaunch of their ourHOME campaign earlier this month.
As part of the initiative, Disney promised to release new content and digital and experiential activations to showcase global efforts to protect, restore, and celebrate the natural world.

While much of the new content has been focused on the National Geographic brand and Disney documentaries, the company has now unveiled something a bit different.
‘The Simpsons’ Celebrate Earth Day
A new episode of The Simpsons, Yellow Planet, has arrived on Disney+.
The latest streaming-exclusive episode of the iconic animated series is presented as a National Geographic-style nature mockumentary that sees the citizens of Springfield transformed into wild animals.

In the episode, Homer and Marge are transformed into whales, Bart is born an iguana, and Lisa is a headstrong finch. A British narrator documents the town’s adventures as an homage to Planet Earth.
