The Disneyland Resort’s runDisney Events Will Be Placed on Hiatus in 2026
Nothing gets you racing into action quite like runDisney events!

runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend
Disneyland and Disney World host runDisney events, which allow participants to run in Disney-themed races throughout the resorts. While these events are extremely popular–selling out with lightning speed–the Disneyland Resort’s races will be going on a hiatus next year.
Disneyland Resort runDisney Hiatus
The Disneyland Resort’s runDisney events will be placed on hiatus in 2026, following the 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend–which takes place January 29th through February 1st. The runDisney website recently updated to announce the news:

The construction-related hiatus is most likely due to Disney California Adventure’s upcoming projects, including the Avengers Campus expansion and the new Coco ride. DisneylandForward and Disney California Adventure’s new Avatar land are also on the horizon, although we don’t know when ground will break on those projects.

When the Disneyland Resort’s races are placed on hiatus, runners are encouraged to participate in Disney World’s races or the virtual races!
