PHOTOS & VIDEO: The Jellyrolls Facade Is ALREADY Being Demolished at Disney’s BoardWalk
If you are a fan of Disney’s BoardWalk, you know that the resort has undergone a lot of changes in the last 18 months.
During that span, we have seen The Cake Bake Shop and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs open, Big River Grille close, and numerous refurbishments take place across the resort, including a systematic renovation of the BoardWalk’s shops.
Amid all these changes, the most surprising news was that Jellyrolls was closing.
The End of an Era
An institution at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort for decades, Jellyrolls opened with the rest of the area in 1996. Over the intervening 29 years, the bar has been the home of plenty of sing-alongs, after-work meetings, and cherished memories.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Jellyrolls hosted its final farewell at BoardWalk on April 19 and is now officially closed. While the establishment is expected to reopen elsewhere, it will no longer be housed on Disney property.

Just three days after Jellyrolls closed, the location’s iconic facade is already being removed.

When visiting Disney’s BoardWalk Resort today, we watched as the Jellyrolls sign was demolished letter by letter.
Here is another look.
As you can see, Disney is wasting no time in removing all references to the bar and eatery. Perhaps this indicates that Disney World has future plans for the location?
While change is inevitable at Walt Disney World, seeing the Jellyrolls sign removed was a somber experience. I, for one, will fondly remember the establishment.
