Disney’s Campsites at Fort Wilderness Lowering Party Capacity in 2026
It’s only April of 2025, but Disney World is already looking ahead to next year! There are a bunch of perks returning for Disney World hotel guests in 2026, Disney World 2026 vacation packages are now available for booking, and 2026 Disney World kids’ free dining plans are now available.

And, we just found out about a change happening in Disney World in 2026 that you need to be aware of while you’re planning your vacations.
Fort Wilderness Campsite Changes
The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness will be limiting the number of people per party from 10 to 8 starting in 2026. We noticed the change when we were selecting different dates while looking at Disney’s website.

For example, check out this listing for a tent or pop-up campsite for 2025, which says it sleeps up to 10 adults.

Then, look at this listing for 2026, which says the same spot only sleeps up to 8 adults.

You can see the change applies to the different tiers of campsites at the resort. They all now only list each campsite as sleeping up to 8 adults.

We’re not sure why Disney is making this change, but definitely keep it in mind when you’re planning your trip for 2026!
