The Fantastic Four Face Galactus in New ‘First Steps’ Trailer
On July 25, Marvel’s First Family will finally make their Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut when The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters.
The latest incarnation of the iconic Marvel team will consist of Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm/Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing).
Set in a retro-futuristic version of New York City, The Fantastic Four: First Steps will not tell the Four’s origin story but instead see them square off with an intergalactic threat.

“Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal,” the film’s synopsis explains.
A New Trailer Has Arrived
Today, Marvel Studios released a new trailer for The Fantastic Four, shedding more light on the film’s premise.
In the clip, we learn that The Four have long since returned to Earth after getting their superpowers and are beloved by the planet’s population.

Revered as the planet’s protectors, the team must jump into action when the Silver Surfer arrives to announce that Galactus has marked Earth for destruction.
