WHEN The Disney Skyliner Will Be Closing For Refurbishment Next Year
No addition to Disney World has been as impactful over the last ten years or so as the Disney Skyliner.
While there have been plenty of new attractions to open at The Most Magical Place on Earth, the Sykliner is far and away my favorite.
Since the new mode of transportation opened in 2019, guests staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach, Riveria Resort, Pop Century, and the Art of Animation have been able to take to the sky and soar to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The introduction of the Skyliner has been revolutionary for someone like me, who has always had a precarious relationship with the Disney buses. Now, I personally do all I can to stay at a Skyliner Resort. It really is The Most Magical Flight on Earth.
A Skyliner Refub Is Coming Next Year
Unfortunately, like other Walt Disney World attractions, the Disney Skyliner occasionally closes for refurbishment. Because the transportation system has become essential to many vacations and very influential in determining what resort guests choose to stay at, Disney typically announces these refurbishments months in advance.

Disney Skyliner
With that in mind, it is my duty to report that the Disney Skyliner will be closed from January 25, 2026, through January 31, 2026. While the refurbishment will be short, if you are considering a Disney World vacation next January, you may want to plan ahead.
Bus Service Will be Available
While the Skyliner is down, complimentary bus service will be available from Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Riveria Resorts to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
