New Details for Lion King-Inspired Land and Attraction Coming to Disneyland Paris
There are a lot of announcements coming in today and more big news from Disneyland Paris!
During D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in August 2024, Disney announced plans for a first-of-its-kind immersive world inspired by The Lion King.
This new land will be part of the transforming Disney Adventure World, and we have new details!
Lion King Attraction
Once the park opens and after the debut of World of Frozen, guests will step into the Pride Lands for an unforgettable journey
The most exciting annoucement is the new attraction! Disney has shared that the main ride promises “a thrilling water-based adventure featuring cutting-edge Audio-Animatronics® and scenes straight out of the 1994 classic.”
Guests will experience a journey through caves, experience a towering 37-meter-high Pride Rock, and zip down a dramatic 16-meter drop.
The ride will also bring to life the iconic landscapes and music of The Lion King. Stunning visual effects, lifelike animatronics, and beloved characters will combine to create a one-of-a-kind experience.
“We are looking forward to launching the construction of this new immersive world inspired by The Lion King and its major attraction, which will mark another milestone for Disney Adventure World,” said Michel Den Dulk, Vice President and Portfolio Executive Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering.
“All of the Imagineers who work on this project have their hearts set on paying a vibrant homage to this timeless masterpiece by creating unforgettable memories for all our guests.”
