PHOTOS: The Latest Updates to The Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Hollywood Studios

Walt Disney World is constantly evolving, and that includes plenty of exciting updates and refurbishments happening daily.

From Cinderella Castle to Sebastian’s Bistro to the Plaza Restaurant– there is plenty of change happening across the resort.

One of the most highly anticipated transformations is the upcoming debut of The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog, you know we’ve been watching the progress of this all-new stage show.

First announced in December 2023, the reimagined production promises to bring Ariel’s story to life like never before—with innovative set pieces, advanced puppetry, and cutting-edge special effects.The new show is set to debut in the summer of 2025. 

Our recent visits to the area revealed updates, including the removal of signage and posters and the iconic Voyage of the Little Mermaid marquee.

New greenery and planters surround the previous queue has arrived and is blocking guest view.

Here is another look a the bare theater. We also noticed taped off areas and scoring on the surrounding pavement and are assuming this section will be replaced:

Scoring can also been seen at the exit to Walt Disney Presents:

There are definitely changes happening and we see some small progress. With The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure slated to open this summer, we expect even more changes to unfold in the coming weeks.
