We Have Bad News For Disney’s Grand Floridian Gingerbread House Fans
Earlier today, we shared Disney’s plans for a major lobby renovation at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

In addition to changes such as new carpeting, updated furnishings, and refreshed fabrics, Disney will also introduce the Grand Floridan Lobby Bar. While this is exciting news, you may be wondering whether Grand Floridian’s popular holiday Gingerbread House will be available this year — and we have the answer.
No Gingerbread House???
Scott Gustin was able to confirm that as a result of the ongoing renovations, the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House will be unavailable this holiday season.
He also confirmed that the Garden View Tea Room will also be updated, with details coming later.
Work is set to begin later this month and will be ongoing throughout 2025.
The tea room area will also be updated – more details will be shared later.
Due to the ongoing renovations, the gingerbread display will not be available during the holiday season this year.

Construction is scheduled to begin in late April and continue onward throughout 2025. Whether this means the Gingerbread House will return after renovations are completed remains to be seen.

The life-size Grand Floridian Gingerbread House typically opens for the holiday season in November, featuring all kinds of intricate details and treats for purchase.
Unfortunately, it looks like we won’t be seeing it in 2025.
