Disney World Cast Members Congratulate the Florida Gators on Their Championship Win
In what was quickly recognized as an instant classic, the Florida Gators defeated the Houston Cougars on Monday to win the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship.
Overcoming a 12-point deficit, the Gators smothered the Cougars down the stretch to win their first title since 2007.
In the aftermath of the thrilling victory, it wasn’t only Gainesville who celebrated. Walt Disney World also got the opportunity to congratulate their home-state team!

Walt Disney World Cast Members who were Florida alumni or fans gathered at Magic Kingdom to celebrate the Gators and congratulate the team on their National Championship.
Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy joined the fans and happily posed with the Cast Members.

As you can see, the ensemble was decked out in orange and blue and brought plenty of balloons to the party!
The job of conveying Cast Members’ well wishes was given to Walt Disney World Ambassador Shannon Smith Conrad.
