The Disneyland Resort is about to be buuuuuusy. The resort’s 70th anniversary celebration begins next month, and will pack the parks with exciting debuts and highly-awaited returns–with some making delayed appearances. But that’s not all–other exciting experiences, unrelated to the anniversary event, will also hit the resort throughout the next few months.

“it’s a small world ” Coco Addition
On May 9th, “it’s a small world” will reopen with new additions to its Mexico display–Miguel and his alebrije, Dante! Their arrival will be accompanied by the debut of a marigold bridge.

“Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” Debut
On May 16th, the all-new show, “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!,” will debut at Disney California Adventure’s (DCA) Disney Theater. The show is inspired by Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+ (coming soon), and features Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of their friends.

Two Interactive Parties Return
On May 23rd, two interactive parties will come back to Disneyland Park! Pixar Pals Playtime Party will return to Fantasyland Theater for a limited time…

…and “Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Blast” will return most nights to the Tomorrowland Terrace.
June
Rex from Toy Story Meet-and-Greet Debut
Beginning on June 1st, guests in DCA can meet Rex from Toy Story! His park debut is in honor of Toy Story‘s 30th anniversary. He’ll be around for a limited time at Pixar Pier.

July
“Walt Disney – A Magical Life” and Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic Debut
On July 17th–which is Disneyland’s 70th birthday–“Walt Disney – A Magical Life” will open at the Main Street Opera House! The opening will include the debut of the highly anticipated, first-ever Walt Disney audio-animatronic.

The Opera House will also have other new experiences, like the gallery detailing the evolution of Walt Disney’s dream of Disneyland, a special exhibit with the story and history of audio-animatronics technology, and a display of over 30 artifacts from The Walt Disney Family Museum.

“it’s a small world” Third Verse Debut
On July 17th, the third and final verse of “it’s a small world” will premiere in the attraction. Guests riding the attraction on or after this date will experience the new verse, written by Richard M. Sherman as his last contribution to Disney.
