There Are NEW Updates for Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration!
We’re nearly a month away from the kick-off of Disneyland’s massive 70th-anniversary celebration!

The event, which honors the resort’s 70 years of magic, begins on May 16th and will invite guests to celebrate with new–and returning–entertainment, attraction updates, a legendary animatronic debut, and so much more. And it seems like more information is released each week–like today’s update. Let’s check it out!

Disney Parks Blog updated their “Guide to the 70th Anniversary at Disneyland Resort” today to include some new additions!

World of Color Happiness! Pre-Show Voting
As you probably already know, Disney California Adventure’s (DCA) all-new World of Color show (“World of Color Happiness!”) will debut during the celebration. The nighttime show will be hosted by our favorite emotions from Inside Out and Inside Out 2, who will walk us through music and moments from other Pixar stories.
Now, the new update is that, before the show, guests in DCA can vote on the Disneyland app to decide which emotion will be featured in the nighttime spectacular’s special scenes. Guests can vote for Sadness, Anger, Disgust, or Envy. This will happen before the first show of the evening, so enable your push notifications and location services so you’ll know when it’s time to vote.

A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour
A new two-hour walking tour, A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour, will debut during the anniversary event! This is an exciting tour for Disneyland history buffs, as it will “explore the rich heritage of Disneyland park, from opening day attractions to the latest innovations.” The tour will take guests to legendary places around the park, where they’ll learn more about Walt Disney’s vision for the park and how it’s taken shape over the past seven decades.

Bookings will become available on April 24th, 2025.
MagicBand+ Interactions
Guests wearing their MagicBand+ will be able to unlock interactions throughout Disneyland Park! More specifically, there are five surprises to unlock in Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and Frontierland.

Along with those unlocked surprises, the MagicBand+ will also interact with some entertainment experiences, including Paint the Night, Tapestry of Happiness, World of Color Happiness!, and Wondrous Journeys. The bands will interact with synchronized vibrations and bright lights.
