Will ‘Elio’ Prove to Be Another Pixar Hit?
After their historic success with last year’s Inside Out 2, Pixar is preparing to return to theaters with the release of the long-awaited Elio.
The latest Pixar original film tells the story of an eleven-year-old boy named Elio Solis, who accidentally becomes Earth’s intergalactic ambassador.
“For centuries, people have called out to the universe looking for answers—in Disney and Pixar’s all-new feature film ‘Elio,’ the universe calls back!” Elio’s synopsis reads.

“The cosmic misadventure introduces Elio, a space fanatic with an active imagination and a huge alien obsession. So, when he’s beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide, Elio’s all in for the epic undertaking. Mistakenly identified as Earth’s ambassador to the rest of the universe, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, and somehow discover who and where he is truly meant to be.”
Zoe Saldana Previewed ‘Elio’ at CinemaCon
With just months to go until the film hits theaters, Elio star Zoe Saldana took the stage at CinemaCon last week to preview the upcoming film.

According to the actress, Elio is a “heartfelt, funny and beautiful story” whose characters go on an adventure to find “who and where they’re meant to be.”

Following Saldana’s introduction, the CinemaCon audience was treated to 3D footage from the upcoming film. They were reportedly wowed by what they saw.
A Big Moment For Pixar
After Pixar’s triumphant success with Inside Out 2, all eyes will be on Elio when the film hits theaters. How the film fares could have massive implications for the studio’s future.
