ALL the Exciting Experiences and Events Coming to Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney
Earlier today, we brought you the exciting news that D23 Gold Members will soon be able to purchase their tickets for this year’s Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney.
The biennial Disney fan event will take place this year from August 29 to 31 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort!
While every Destination D23 is a magical event, this year’s festivities will be bigger than ever.

“Disney is uniquely beloved by generations of people who are captivated by the magic of our timeless stories and the imaginative ways we bring them to life,” said Michael Vargo, Head of D23. “Destination D23 will bring together some of Disney’s most passionate fans for an immersive event allowing them to celebrate and experience what they love most from across the worlds of Disney.”
There Will Be 25 Presentations
According to Disney, guests who attend this year’s Destination D23 will be able to enjoy over 25 specially curated presentations from across The Walt Disney Company, including Walt Disney Studios, Disney Entertainment Television, Disney Experiences, and the Walt Disney Archives.
“This programming will feature the creative visionaries and talent behind popular films and series, Imagineers, archivists, and Disney Legends, providing exclusive access and behind-the-scenes looks at fan-favorite entertainment and experiences,” the company teased.

Here are some of the other exciting events that fans have to look forward to!
Kuzcotopia Night at Typhoon Lagoon
Destination D23 attendees are invited to celebrate The Emperor’s New Groove‘s 25th anniversary during D23 Kuzcotopia Night at Typhoon Lagoon on Saturday, August 30.

The special event will feature complimentary snacks, photo opportunities, special activities, and exclusive events.
Disney ‘80s-’90s Celebration in Concert
The fun will continue on Sunday, August 31, with Disney ‘80s-’90s Celebration in Concert, presented by Disney+.

Capping off the weekend’s festivities, the concert will feature Broadway and Disney Animation stars, who will take attendees on a musical journey that promises to include show-stopping performances, rock-concert lighting, and larger-than-life projections.
The Walt Disney Archives Presents: Charting the Course, Disney’s Global Stories & Inspiration.
Throughout the weekend, Destination D23 attendees can enjoy The Walt Disney Archives Presents: Charting the Course, Disney’s Global Stories & Inspiration.

The all-new exhibit will be housed at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and will celebrate the global locations and cultures that have inspired Disney storytelling for decades. In addition to artifacts from Jungle Cruise, The Lion King, and Mulan, guests will also be able to see original puppets from Tapestry of Nations!
Additional Events
Guests attending Destination D23: A Journey Through the Worlds of Disney can also participate in additional events at Disney Springs!

On Thursday, August 28, D23 will host A Goofy Movie Throwback Premiere. More details about a separately ticketed event taking place on Friday, August 29, will be released later!
A D23 Shopping Spree
Finally, during Destination D23, attendees will have the opportunity to go on a D23 Shopping Spree. This year, The Walt Disney Company Store, Mickey’s of Glendale, and Disney Studio Store Hollywood will all be setting up pop-up locations!
