PHOTOS: The COOLEST Place in Toy Story Land Has Finally Opened

Since Toy Story Land opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on June 20, 2018, guests have flocked to Andy’s backyard to ride Slinky Dog Dash, test their skills at Toy Story Mania, and meet their favorite toys.

By and large, the land has been a massive success for Disney, and it remains one of the most popular areas in Hollywood Studios. However, if there has been one continuing complaint about the land, it has been the area’s distinct lack of shade.

When visiting Toy Story Land in the summer, it quickly becomes clear that there is little escape from the Florida sun. This is especially true outside of Woody’s Lunch Box.

In response to guest feedback, Disney demolished the Woody’s Lunch Box patio last year and began constructing new outdoor seating.

New Shade Structure Have Been Under Construction

Here at MickeyBlog, we have been closely following the project. The last time we checked in, one of the large shade structures located outside Woody’s Lunch Box was nearing completion.

Now, it is my honor to report that work on the structure has concluded, and guests can now sit in the shade!

One Section Has Finally Opened!

When visiting Woody’s Lunch Box today, we were thrilled to see that guests utilizing the new shade structure.

As you can see, it was a popular location.

While the first section of the patio is now open, the rest of the area remains walled off.

However, it looks like it won’t be long until work wraps up!
