New Disney Resort Luggage Transfer Service Expands to All Value Resorts Today

Starting today, Disney traveling just got easier and more convenient! Walt Disney World is introducing a convenient new luggage transfer service for guests staying at the five Disney Value Resort hotels.

If you’re flying Southwest Airlines from Orlando International Airport (MCO), you can now drop off your checked baggage at your hotel and have it sent directly to your flight.

This new pilot program saves you time and hassle on your departure day.

How the Luggage Transfer Service Works

This new pilot service is designed to make Southwest travel smoother by allowing guests to send their bags to the airport ahead of time.

Here’s how it works:

1. Check In at Your Resort – When you arrive at your Disney Value Resort hotel, visit or call Luggage Assistance to take advantage of the service. If you have Southwest Airlines luggage tags, leave them on for a smoother process.

2. Check In for Your Flight – Complete your online flight check-in with Southwest Airlines the day before departure.

3. Drop Off Your Bags – Bring your checked luggage to Luggage Assistance in the hotel lobby.

4. Head to the Airport Stress-Free – Skip the airline check-in line, board your flight, and collect your bags at baggage claim upon arrival.

Luggage Drop-Off Times

For the best experience, Disney encourages guests to drop off their bags the night before their flight.

However, same-day drop-offs are available:

• Flights Before 1:00 PM – Drop off bags by 1:00 AM the night before.
• Flights After 1:00 PM – Drop off at least 4 hours before departure or no later than 1:00 PM.

This service is only available for Guests flying on Southwest Airlines and staying at these Disney Value Resort hotels:

• Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
• Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
• Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
• Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
• Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Guests can find additional assistance and track their checked luggage using the Southwest Airlines app.
