Bob Iger Reportedly Raises the Alarm on Tariffs
Since Bob Iger returned to the helm of Disney, he has, by and large, attempted to keep the company out of the political spotlight.
To that end, we have seen Disney smooth over its relationship with the state of Florida, settle a lawsuit with President Donald Trump, and continually push the message that its primary goal is to entertain.

Now, however, it looks like Iger wants his company to speak up.
Iger’s Meeting With ABC News
According to a new report from Oliver Darcy’s Status newsletter, Bob Iger attended an ABC News daily editorial meeting on Thursday, where he raised the alarm on President Trump’s tariffs.

Iger told his ABC staff that it would be impossible for companies to relocate their overseas manufacturing to the United States in a timely manner and impressed upon them that most Americans “don’t really understand how tariffs work.”
His goal, anonymous staffers said, was to push ABC News to explain the situation to their consumers.
Concern For the Disney Cruise Line
While Disney may not be synonymous with manufacturing, Iger did raise concerns about the Disney Cruise Line. With the Disney fleet set to expand in an unprecedented fashion, Disney is reliant on steel and foreign construction.

The company, he warned, may have to scale back spending if costs rise too high.
At this point, neither Iger nor Disney has made a public comment on the tariff situation. However, the Disney CEO is closely monitoring the situation and may soon raise the alarm.
