New Food Items at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater Restaurant is located on Commissary Lane in Hollywood Studios!
It’s a table service restaurant where you get to sit inside of a vintage car and watch old black and white film clips while you dine.
Here’s a look at the menu with the new additions!
First up, we got the new Feature Film Burger for $26. This is their signature blend of beef topped with sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, and house-made sauerkraut served on a pretzel bun.
This is like a classic Rueben sandwich, but on a burger! The pretzel bun was soft but it held up to all of the sauces on the burger very well.
There was a perfect amount of sauce and sauerkraut, and the Swiss cheese added some great melty texture!
Next, we got the new Cyborg-er, which is their signature blend of beef topped with griddled pastrami and pepper jack, lettuce, and heirloom tomato drizzled with house-made Carolina mustard sauce for $26.
This was also a delicious burger! The brioche bun added a slight sweetness but also held up well to everything on the burger.
You can taste the kick from the pepper jack cheese and the pastrami flavor is subtle but adds a nice amount of texture. The Carolina mustard sauce is a little sweet and tangy and balances the salt from everything else. This is a winner!
We also got the new Fried Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich for $22. This is fried chicken thigh topped with ham and melted Swiss cheese on a bed of arugula with their signature maple dijon served on a brioche bun.
This is a much need addition to the menu! It’s a great balance between all of the ingredients — the arugula is fresh and adds some pepper flavor, and the chicken thigh is super juicy with a nice crunch on the outside from being fried.
The ham adds some smokiness that compliments the chicken and the Swiss goes great with it all! The maple dijon is also sweet and tangy and a perfect sauce choice.
Finally, we got the new dessert! This is the Cerulean Moon, which is a chocolate mousse dome with strawberry filling on a graham cracker tart with a hibiscus sponge, green space dust, and chocolate-caramel sauce for $9.50.
This is delicious! The mousse is nice and chocolate-y and it’s rich without being too overpowering.
The blue portion of the dome doesn’t take away from what’s inside and the strawberries add a nice fresh component to the dessert. The hibiscus sponge was a tad dry but the green space dust was good!
Overall, we think these new items are great additions to the menu! We’re thoroughly impressed and recommend checking these out if you’re dining at Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater soon.
