It’s an exciting time to visit the resort–Season of the Force has begun, new merchandise arrivals are popping up all over, and the 70th-anniversary celebration is on the horizon. But that’s not all–exciting technology is being tested at Disney California Adventure (DCA)–let’s check it out.

While visiting the quick-service location, we noticed that Disney is testing a self-checkout register! Curious how it works? Let’s test it out together!

Directly next to the register, there’s a scanner that recognizes your items and tallies your total. You must separate the items on your tray so they can be appropriately identified.

…and the register will update with your total. If you need help–don’t worry! Cast Members are available to help–including providing assistance with adding a Magic Key discount.
