Island Tower Has Been Added to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort’s Iconic Lobby Map
While Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been accommodating guests on the Seven Seas Lagoon since Walt Disney World opened in 1971, the hotel has undergone numerous changes over the years.
Perhaps the most significant change in the resort’s history happened last December when Island Tower officially opened.

Island Tower
The newest addition to the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) roster, Island Tower, combines the magic and wonder of Polynesia with the comfort and amenities that the DVC has become famous for.
Island Tower Has Been Added to the Polynesian’s Lobby Map
When visiting Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort today, we were thrilled to see that the iconic resort map that hangs in the Great Ceremonial House lobby has been updated and now includes Island Tower.

Previously, the resort layout included Luau Cove, which was removed to facilitate the construction of Island Tower.

Here is a look at the rest of the map.

Also, in the lobby, new magnets featuring Maui have been installed!

Here is another look.

The Running Trail Maps Have Also Been Updated
In addition to updating the prominent map in the resort’s lobby, Disney has also updated the Polynesian running trail maps.

As you can see, Island Tower is now depicted.
Additionally, the resort has been added to the Polynesian’s directional signs.
