Disney Has Purchased a $19.4 Million Property in Celebration
According to a new report from the Orlando Business Journal, a Walt Disney World-registered entity has purchased an office building in Celebration’s South Village area for $19.4 million.
The 106,196 sq ft building, which was built in 2009, is located at 1939 Celebration Boulevard. Disney previously leased the property for its Disney Vacation Club and real estate units.
The building was formerly owned by Celebration Advance LLC, an entity connected to Rafael Weiss and the Jeffrey J. Weiss Living Trust.
“It’s been a well-maintained property over the years with good ownership at a good location,” Gary Eisenberg, the founder of South East Atlantic Reality Group, said.
SouthEast Atlantic had been managing the building on behalf of its previous owners. Now, that responsibility will fall to Ed Price and Haisam Algwatli of Lincoln Property Co.

“They have been wonderful during the transition,” Eisenberg added.
Disney Has Continued to Purchase New Properties
This is not the first time that Disney has purchased a building that it was previously leasing.
Earlier this year, the company bought a two-building warehouse in Anaheim for $124 million. Disney had previously leased the warehouse to store Disneyland equipment and house their Company D Store. Clearly, the company is open to expanding its real estate profile when the opportunity arises.

In Florida, Disney bought a 39% stake in a nine-story building in Celebration in 2014 and a 100,000-square-foot office building off International Drive in 2018.
