WATCH: The Rebellion Takes Shape in New ‘Andor’ Season 2 Trailer
After two-and-a-half years of waiting, Star Wars fans will finally get to see the next chapter in Cassian Andor’s story when Andor Season 2 premieres April 22 on Disney+.
The last time we saw Cassian, he had committed himself to the Rebellion and was flying away with Luthen Rael. The next season of Andor will continue the rebel’s journey and lead up to the events of Rouge One.
To facilitate this storytelling, the 12-episode second season of Andor will jump ahead one year every three episodes.

“One of the great thrills of making ‘Andor’ is the scale of the story and the number of characters we’re able to meet — ordinary people, Imperial overlords, passionate revolutionaries,” series creator Gilroy said in a statement teasing the season.

“They are real people making epic decisions, all of them staring down questions with terrifying consequences. Cassian’s journey is the soul and spine of our story, but it’s the choir that makes the show. I’m so excited for audiences to see where we go in Season 2.”

In the clip, Cassian, Bix, Luthern, and Mon Mothma prepare to risk everything in order to spark the rebellion and destroy the Death Star.
