BREAKING: Holy Smokes! A Large Structure Fire Has Been Reported at EPCOT
Guests visiting EPCOT this evening are reporting that a large structure fire has broken out behind the France pavilion in World Showcase.
Initially, it was not clear what started the fire. Smoke, however, could be seen coming from backstage.
A video shared by WSVN 7 News captured the blaze.

Guests Took to Social Media to Share Their Stories
Before Disney or the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District released any information about the fire, guests visiting EPCOT today quickly took to social media to share their stories.
Those dining in the French pavilion were reportedly quickly evacuated from the premises.

Other witnesses relayed that the smoke from the EPCOT fire could be clearly seen at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort.
The Disney World fire occurred during a dry stretch in Central Florida, during which the National Weather Service has issued numerous Red Flag warnings.

Disney Confirms the Fire Took Place Backstage, and No One Was Injured
At 7:45 PM ET, Disney released a statement confirming the fire began from a backstage cooler. According to the company, the flames were extinguished, and no guests were injured.
