Disney and Marvel Celebrate the Return of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ With New Variant Comics
To celebrate Phineas and Ferb‘s return this summer, Disney and Marvel Comics are teaming up for a new series of variant covers spoofing Avengers (2023), Fantastic Four (2022), and X-Men (2024).
Hitting comic book stands this June, the new Phineas and Ferb variant covers will follow recent Disney and Marvel collaborations that saw Mickey and Friends assume the roles of some of the great heroes in comic book history.
Phineas and Ferb co-creator Dan Povenmire and Eisner-nominated cartoonist Jacob Chabot drew the upcoming variant covers.

The recreations of Rick Leonardi’s New Mutants #50, Jim Steranko’s Strange Tales #167, and John Romita’s Marvel Treasure Edition #2 see Candiace assume the role of Magik, Agent P play Nick Fury, and Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, and Buford assemble as the Fantastic Four.
‘Phineas and Ferb’ Will Return This Summer
The highly-anticipated revival of Phineas and Ferb will officially stream on Disney+ this summer.
“Since ‘Phineas and Ferb’ is essentially a celebration of summer vacation, summer is the perfect time to debut the new season,” the executive producers said in a statement to Variety. “We have had such a great time diving back into this world and the entire cast and crew have really brought their A-game. We cannot wait to see fans’ reactions to what is shaping up to be our favorite season yet.”
