Another Red Flag Warning Has Been Issued For Walt Disney World
In what has become an increasingly common occurrence, the National Weather Service (NWS) in Melbourne has issued a Red Flag Warning that covers much of Central Florida, including Walt Disney World.
According to the NWS, the relatively low humidity and breezy conditions in East Central Florida today have created conditions where any developing fires will likely spread rapidly.
The counties under a Red Flag Warning include Volusia, Lake, Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Brevard, Okeechobee, Indian River, Saint Lucie, and Martin.

Here is what guests need to know about the weather forecast.
The Current Conditions
The forecast calls for west-to-northwest winds at 15 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 25 to 30 mph. Humidity is also at minimum values of 25 to 35 percent.

These conditions meet the threshold for a Red Flag Warning. At this time, outdoor burning is not recommended.
Walt Disney World Operations Have Not Been Affected
This is now the second time that Walt Disney World has been under a Red Flag Warning this month. So far, however, the weather has not impacted the resort’s operations.

Fort Wilderness Resort
However, as outdoor burning is discouraged, guests staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground should refrain from starting campfires.
Additionally, Disney may change its fireworks plans. At this time, nothing has been officially announced.
