‘A Complete Unknown’ Finally Gets Hulu Premiere Date
After delivering one of Searchlight Pictures’ best box office runs, A Complete Unknown is heading to streaming.
Directed by James Mangold and starring Timothée Chalamet, the film chronicles Bob Dylan’s journey from obscurity to becoming one of the most influential musicians of all time.
“New York, early 1960s. Against the backdrop of a vibrant music scene and tumultuous cultural upheaval, an enigmatic 19-year-old from Minnesota arrives in the West Village with his guitar and revolutionary talent, destined to change the course of American music,” the film’s synopsis reads.

The Film Was a Commercial and Critical Success
Released to theaters last Christmas, A Complete Unknown was a commercial success and a critical darling. By the time the film ended its theatrical run, it had grossed $131.9 million, the highest total for a Searchlight film since Disney acquired the studio in 2019.

Lauded by fans and critics alike, the Bob Dylan biopic would earn eight Academy Award Nominations, including nods for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress. It also received three Golden Globe nominations, four SAG award nods, and six British Academy Film Awards.
When Will ‘A Complete Unknown’ Land on Streaming?
Today, Disney announced that fans will soon be able to relive the Bob Dylan story or perhaps enjoy it for the first time when A Complete Unkown lands on Hulu.
