The Walt Disney Company Wins Big at the 3rd Annual Children and Family Emmy Awards
The 3rd Annual Children and Family Emmy Awards took place last weekend, and once again, Disney emerged as a big winner.
Across 20th Television, Disney Branded Television, Lucasfilm Ltd., National Geographic, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and platforms Disney+ and Hulu, the company brought home 25 Children and Family Emmys.

Of that total, 18 wins came from Disney Branded Television, which brought home the most awards of any industry group.
‘Percy Jackson’ Leads the Way
Looking over Disney’s Children and Family Emmys wins, the undeniable success story was Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

The Disney+ series, which was recently renewed for a third season, delivered 8 of Disney’s 25 wins on Saturday night. Most notably, Percy Jackson won Outstanding Teen Series, Outstanding Casting for a Live Action Program, and Outstanding Directing for a Single Camera Live Action.
Disney’s Other Notable Winners
Other big winners for Disney included A Real Bug’s Life, which took home four awards, including Outstanding Directing for a Single Camera Live-Action Series, and Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, which won three awards.

Interestingly, 20th Television’s The Spiderwick Chronicles, which Disney+ canceled before it ever premiered on the streaming service, won two Emmys. The show was eventually picked up by Roku TV.

Another notable winner was Once Upon a Studio, which received the Emmy for Outstanding Short Form Animated Program.
