The Tropic Truck Brings Cali-Caribbean Flavors to Downtown Disney District
Disneyland fans got a fun surprise yesterday when the resort announced that a new food truck had rolled into Downtown Disney District.
Officially named The Tropic Truck, the newest Downtown Disney mobile eatery serves Cali-Caribbean dishes.

After learning that the new food truck had arrived, we had to head over to Downtown Disney to check it out!
The Tropic Truck
Renowned for its grilled seafood and charbroiled meats, the Tropic Truck invites guests to “taste the tropics.”
The food truck’s extensive menu includes Caribbean bowls, melts, lobster rolls, and loaded fries.
As you can see, the truck’s offerings are advertised with large photos.
Here is another look.
Trying the Lobster Rolls
The first thing we tried was the lobster rolls, which can be served hot or cold. The entree also includes fries and costs $26.99.
We opted to get ours hot. Our roll came with warm butter and was served on a brioche bun.
The entree was a delight, and the lobster was very fresh. The fries were also hot and crispy!
Surf N’ Turf Fries and Lime Agua Fresca
In addition to the lobster roll, we also HAD to try the Surf N’ Turf fries for $20.
The loaded fries came with marinated skirt steak and seasoned grilled shrimp. The shoestring fries were also topped with cheddar jack cheese, lime tarragon sauce, chipotle sauce, and pico de gallo!
Needless to say, the fries were great! We were especially thrilled with the shrimp, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Finally, we tried the Cucumber and Lime Agua Fresca to complete our meal. It was a refreshing and tangy treat and cost just $5!

If you want to try The Tropic Truck for yourself, head over to Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District.
The truck is open from 12 PM through 11 PM and will remain at Downtown Disney through April 6!
