PHOTOS: Large Crane Arrives Outside Disney’s Contemporary Resort
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that 2025 will largely be a year of transition for Walt Disney World.
Throughout the early months of this year, we have seen numerous refurbishments get underway, including the demolition of Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the closure of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom, and the removal of Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Even outside of the parks, Disney has been hard at work, with projects underway at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club, and Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
Now, we can add another resort to last.
A Crane Has Arrived at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
When visiting Disney’s Contemporary Resort this morning, we noticed that a large crane had arrived outside the iconic main building.
From what we could tell, it looks like some kind of exterior work is being done.
Here is another look at the crane.
As you can see, it is surrounded by planters.
Outside of the crane, other construction equipment, including dumpsters, can be found on the patio.
Disney Has Not Announced a Refurbishment
While Disney has previously announced that a refurbishment is underway at Bay Lake Tower, they have not indicated any plans for renovations at the resort’s central tower.
It remains to be seen if this will be a quick project or extended construction.
We will report back if we learn more.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to bring you updates on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
