We’ve gotten familiar with saying farewell to offerings around the resort–just take a look at DinoLand, U.S.A. and the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Sadly (or not so sadly, if you’re not a fan), we’re gearing up to say goodbye to yet another classic offering–It’s Tough to be a Bug!
It’s Tough to be a Bug! Closing
It’s Tough to be a Bug!, which has called Disney’s Animal Kingdom home since the park’s opening day, will permanently close on Monday, March 17th, 2025. The show is well-known for its animatronics, special effects, and surprising bug-like experiences!

Undoubtedly, guests–ourselves included–will head to the experience in its final days to bid farewell to the show. If you’d like to do the same, but won’t be visiting the parks before Monday–don’t worry! You can watch it with us via our YouTube channel:
A Bugs Life fans have suffered heavy losses over the past decade, losing “A Bug’s Land” in Disney California Adventure to Avengers Campus. The removal of “A Bug’s Land” also brought the permanent closure of all the land’s film-themed offerings, which included their own It’s Tough to be a Bug!

Animal Kingdom’s It’s Tough to be a Bug! is closing to make room for Zootopia: Better Zoogether! The new show will debut later this year. Here’s a peek provided by Disney Parks on Instagram:
