Walt Disney’s former Los Angeles mansion has quietly returned to the rental market.
Nestled just below Griffith Park, this storybook home at 4053 Woking Way was built by Walt and his wife, Lillian, in 1932. It served as their family’s residence for 18 years.
A Home of Disney Magic
The 6,300-square-foot estate boasts four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a pool. Many original features remain, including tall beamed ceilings, a brick fireplace, and a hand-painted dining room ceiling with a chandelier.
There’s even a private theater room rumored to still house Disney’s original screen.
Outside, the backyard holds a storybook mini-cottage—a whimsical touch reminiscent of the earlier films Walt created, including Cinderella, Bambi, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
The Cost?
The estate is owned by Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov and was briefly listed for rent in 2023, but as of March 12, it’s back.
Are you interested in renting this whimsical estate? It is available now for $40,000 per month. Additional info is available at redfin.com.
This is definitely a high price for rent, but for Disney lovers and the right Disney fan, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to live where the magic began.
