WATCH: The First ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Trailer Has Arrived!
Everyone’s favorite mischievous blue alien will return when Lilo & Stitch hits theaters in just a few months.
The live-action remake of the beloved animated film will star Maia Kealoha, Zach Galifianakis, and Billy Magnussen and return fans to Hawaii to tell the story of “the bond formed between a lonely human girl named Lilo and a dog-like alien named Stitch, who is engineered to be a force of destruction. Pursuing aliens, social workers, and the idea of the bond of a family figure into the proceedings.”
Based on the early Lilo & Stitch promotional materials, Disney seems to be embracing the humor and heart that made the original film so popular. Having Chris Sanders reprise his role as Stitch also doesn’t hurt!

Originally envisioned as a streaming film, Disney decided to give Lilo & Stitch a theatrical release. Fan’s long wait will be over, when the film debuts on May 23, 2025.
The First Trailer Has Arrived!
Now, just months before the film hits theaters, Disney has released the first trailer for Lilo & Stitch.

The new clip gives us our first glimpse at Maia Kealoha’s Lilo’s adorable relationship with her newly adopted pet Stitch.
The trailer also features the animated film’s hit song “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” and Elvis’s “You’re the Devil in Disguise.”
