WATCH: First Trailer For Bryce Dallas Howard’s ‘Pets’ Documentary Has Arrived
On April 11, which happens to be National Pet Day, Disney+ will premiere a new documentary aptly titled Pets.
Produced by Disney Branded Television and Imagine Documentaries and directed by Bryce Dallas Howard, Pets will explore the relationship between animals and their people worldwide.

“The documentary invites viewers on an uplifting journey that showcases the universal love transcending species, filled with moments of laughter, tenderness, and genuine emotion,” Disney teased.
A Subject Close to Howard’s Heart
Pets will mark Howard’s second documentary feature, serving as the follow-up to her 2019 film Dads.
“Directing a documentary about the relationship between pets and their people has been a dream for years. There’s something about these wordless intuitive bonds, full of mischief and love, that feel like magic. And pet videos? They tap into such pure innocence and happiness, the kind of laughter that catches you off guard and reminds you why we love them so much,” she explained.

A Hilarious and Poignant Journey
Pets will highlight a diverse cast of characters, from everyday pet guardians to animal rescuers and beyond. Among the species featured will be dogs, cats, pigs, goats, and birds of prey.
