Whispering Canyon Cafe Is Closing For a Brief Refurbishment
If you have an upcoming stay at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort this May, I have some unfortunate news for you.
Whispering Canyon Cafe, one of the resort’s signature restaurants, is closing for a brief refurbishment.
Here is everything that you need to know.

Whispering Canyon Cafe
Best known for its sassy servers, Whispering Canyon Cafe is one of the most popular dining locations at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort.
The restaurant serves Western fare, including all-you-care-to-enjoy signature skillets, char-crusted New York Strips, Pan-fried Red Quinoa Cakes, and Cedar Plank Salmon.

Between the interactive wait staff, the atmosphere, and the down-home cooking, Whispering Canyon Cafe is a unique Walt Disney World experience.
Unfortunately for guests visiting in May, the restaurant will be closed from May 12 through May 21.

During the refurbishment, guests are encouraged to choose from various other dining locations at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, including Territory Lounge, Roaring Fork. Geyser Point Bar & Grill, and Story Book Dining at Artist Point.
The Restaurant Is Hosting Easter and Mother’s Day Brunches
Before Whispering Canyon Cafe closes, the restaurant will host two special brunches.
On April 20, 2025, Whispering Canyon will serve an Easter brunch from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
Additionally, on May 11, 2025, the restaurant will offer a special Mother’s Day Brunch.
During both events, the regular breakfast and lunch menus will not be available at Whispering Canyon.
