REVIEW: Disneyland’s Plaza Inn Remains One of Our Favorites!
We’ve been spending quite a bit of time in Disneyland recently. (What–can you blame us?)

Chicken Taquito Ahogado – Paradise Garden Grill
We’ve been eating our way through the 2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, checking out new offerings, and shopping through the merchandise debuts! But we’re not done exploring the resort–let’s head over to a classic Disneyland restaurant to see if it stands the test of time.
Plaza Inn
Plaza Inn, located at the end of Disneyland’s Main Street, U.S.A., opened with the park in 1955. (The restaurant was “Red Wagon Inn” at the time.)

The restaurant places guests in a Victorian-style setting with 19th-century furnishings, stained-glass accents, and a marble foyer.

To fit in with the aesthetic surrounding the restaurant, the exterior is adorned with banners and other royal accents.

The location offers character buffet dining for breakfast and quick-service dining for lunch and dinner. We’re here for dinner–check out the menu posted outside of the restaurant.

Review
It wouldn’t be a trip to Plaza Inn without ordering their iconic specialty Chicken! The dish is $19.99 and comes with three pieces of seasoned fried chicken, served with mashed potatoes and gravy, a buttermilk biscuit, and seasonal vegetables. We grabbed a tray…

We’re here to confirm what you probably already know–this is one of the best meals you can get in the park. The chicken is crispy and flavorful, and the skin comes right off. It’s a generous portion and shockingly high quality for the price point. The entire meal is extremely filling–exactly what you want during a long day in the parks.

Needless to say–but we’ll say it anyways–we highly recommend this meal to anyone and everyone who will listen.

While we could easily just grab the fried chicken and be satisfied, this is a review, so we decided to also get the Cobb Salad for $14.99. The salad comes with seared chicken, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes, and blue cheese on Romaine lettuce.

The salad is reasonably priced and very fresh. It’s made to order, so you can tell them how much–or how little–you want of the salad’s ingredients. We had too much dressing, but that’s a lesson learned–we’ll opt for less next time. And yes, there will be a next time–the Cobb Salad is definitely worth getting again!

Overall, there’s a reason Plaza Inn is so popular among guests. Aside from it being a classic, it also has delicious food for drool-worthy prices. We highly recommend stopping by during your next visit to the park–and don’t forget to try their specialty fried chicken!
