Walt Disney World Wait Times for Early March 2025
Walt Disney World never sits still.
From 2017 through 2019, the parks added Pandora – The World of Avatar, Toy Story Land, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Then, the pandemic reset everything at the parks, fundamentally altering theme park trends.
Over the past 18 months, Disney has finally found its rhythm again, culminating in the elimination of virtual queues.
The past seven days reflect the first full week of the new Disney traffic patterns. So, how does it all look?
Here are Walt Disney World’s average wait times for the first week of March 2025.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

It’s Tough to Be a Bug
We’ve entered the final week of the It’s Tough to Be a Bug! era at Animal Kingdom.
While that might not sound like a big deal, it’s also the era of the entire theme park.

The charming show based on A Bug’s Life opened with the park in 1998.
Then-CEO Michael Eisner loved synergy, which also explains the presence of DINOSAUR at the park.

Originally named Countdown to Extinction, Disney re-themed this ride to tie into Disney’s first entirely computer-animated film, Dinosaur.
We may perceive both rides much differently if the coinciding movies had been better.

Alas, A Bug’s Life is the only title from Pixar’s first decade of cinema that has never justified a sequel.
As for Dinosaur, it doesn’t even merit a footnote in Disney’s storied history of animation.

So, here we are, with those two rides dying. It’s Tough to Be a Bug! will only last through this week.
I’m pleased to report that there was at least a modest rush to appreciate the show before it dies.

It’s Tough to Be a Bug
For the second straight week, It’s Tough to Be a Bug averaged a 14-minute wait, which may not sound like much.
I swear to you that it’s 40 percent longer than usual. And that’s why the show is closing soon.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
At Hollywood Studios, we’re in the calm before the storm.
In about 12 weeks, Muppet*Vision 3D will close forever, causing Jim Henson fans to curse Disney’s name indefinitely.

For the time being, it’s business as usual at the park, though. Also, the Monsters, Inc. roller coaster does look pretty sweet.

EPCOT

Disney
Okay, now we get serious. Here’s the park where everything has changed.
With Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind available via standby queue AND Early Theme Park Entry, EPCOT’s had a hard reset.

Frozen Ever After
Frozen Ever After is about to enter year nine, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was never intended as the alpha.
So, the introduction of a standard line queue for Cosmic Rewind fundamentally resets theme park behavior.

Final Thoughts
Overall, Magic Kingdom attractions required an average wait of 30 minutes, which is one minute more than last time.
So, every Walt Disney World park increased its average wait. In total, the four parks went up by four minutes on average.
Basically, Disney was down two weeks ago, but last week pretty much matched the averages from three weeks ago.
Technically, this was the most crowded week at Disney in more than a month, which hints that traffic is picking up at the parks.
