Character Encounter Update for Disneyland After Dark 90’s Nite

Were you lucky enough to attend Disneyland After Dark’s latest special event? Disneyland After Dark: 90s Nite is a 2- night, sold-out special event!

Disneyland After Hours: 90s Nite

However, Disneyland’s ’90s Nite got off to a bumpy start earlier this week when timed wristband requirements made it difficult for many guests to meet some of their fan-favorite characters.

But no worries! Disneyland released an update that will ensure you get to see your Disney faves!

What’s New?

Disney guests were looking to meet Darkwing Duck, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, but because the system had not been announced prior, they were surprised and frustrated after missing out on these rare meet-and-greet opportunities.

Disneyland After Dark: 90s Nite

In response to overwhelming demand, Disneyland management has changed the process for the second event. Darkwing Duck, the nephews, Scrooge McDuck, and Launchpad McQuack will now appear at Fantasyland Theatre as a “wave and play” experience.

This means guests won’t need a separate timed wristband and can take their own photos as the characters walk through the area. However, Disney PhotoPass will not be available.

Guests attending the March 6th event received a printed notice outlining the update, ensuring that everyone was aware of the new system before heading into the park.
