Duffy and ShellieMay Are Heading to Disneyland For the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade
In just over two months, the Disneyland 70th Celebration will officially kick off, commemorating seven decades of magic and memory making.
Throughout the day today, we have been bringing you updates on some of the new festivities that The Happiest Place on Earth has planned for its big celebration. This has included a new version of Toy Story Midway Mania, an addition to “it’s a small world,” and a closer look at World of Color Happiness!
Now, however, I want to turn your attention to something a little different.
The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade
One of the highlights of the Disneyland 70th Celebration will be the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade.
Taking place numerous times throughout the day at Disneyland Park, the new cavalcade will allow guests to clap along as Mickey Mouse and pals wind their way through the park in a celebration of seven decades of happiness.
While details of the new party remain few and far between, concept art shows that Mickey will be joined by some of his most famous friends, including Disney Princesses and Heroes.
Duffy and ShellieMay Will Join the Festivities
Perhaps even more excitingly, the procession will include Dufy and ShellieMay, who appear to be wearing special 70th anniversary outfits.
The addition of the uber-popular Duffy and ShellieMay will be particularly notable, as the characters are rarely out at Disneyland.
With the resort commemorating a major milestone, however, it makes sense that the biggest Disney stars would make an appearance!
