Festival Passport
Right now, we’re mostly interested in food, so let’s go check out Jardin de Fiestas!
Jardin de Fiestas
Jardin de Fiestas is located in the Mexico Pavilion! You’ll see it to your right as you’re walking toward the pyramid from the front of the World Showcase.
Menu
Everything on the Jardin de Fiestas menu this year is returning from previous festivals.
Food & Drinks
First up, we grabbed the Taco de Camarón for $8 this is a crispy tempura-battered shrimp in a flour tortilla with dried hibiscus flowers and chipotle aïoli.
This was just okay! The shrimp is nothing special and the tortilla was a little too thick for us.
The flavors are good, we’re just not sure if this is worth $8.
Also available is the “Giant” Tostada de Carne for $11.50. This is an Oaxacan tostada, barbacoa beef, guacamole, jícama, pumpkin seeds, and salsa macha.
For dessert, we got the Chocoflan for $6.50. This is a layered traditional Mexican flan and chocolate cake with toasted walnuts.
This is delicious! The flan on top is subtly sweet and very light — it reminded us of dulce de leche.
The walnuts add a great crunch, too. The cake isn’t anything super special but it’s still very rich and moist. We recommend this dessert!
For drinks, we chose the Oaxacan Sweetheart for $14.75. It has Dos Hombres Reposado Mezcal, lemon juice, orange blossom honey, and a pollen salt rim.
We really enjoyed this drink! The orange blossom honey really brought it to the next level and added some great sweetness.
It was served with a little honey spoon which was a nice touch! Overall, the drink was refreshing.
You can also get the Elderflower-Cucumber Margarita for $14.25. This is Dulce Vida Blanco Tequila, elderflower liqueur, and cucumber-lime juice. Finally, you can get the Craft Mexican Draft Beer, which is $6.25 for 6 oz. and $11.50 for 12 oz.
