Hits and Misses: Hanami at the 2025 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival
Did somebody say FRUSHI?
Yup, that’s right — EPCOT’s 2025 Flower & Garden Festival has FINALLY arrived, bringing plenty of incredible festival foods to the park (like FRUSHI!).

Of course, this popular springtime celebration also means live entertainment, exclusive festival merchandise, gorgeous topiary displays, fun-filled exhibits, and plenty more.

Every year, the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival brings a spectacular array of outdoor kitchens. Unsurprisingly, this year’s festival (which kicks off TODAY, March 5th, and runs June 2nd, 2025) — is no exception!
Naturally, our team is live on the ground bringing you ALL the details! This morning, we stopped by booths like Florida Fresh and Fleur de Lys. Now, we’re heading over to the Japan pavilion for a visit to Hanami.

Hanami
On any given day at EPCOT’s Japan pavilion, you’ll find high-energy live entertainment and an assortment of tasty treats. But during EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival, the Japan pavilion is also home to Hanami.

This year, Hanami offers some interesting Japan-inspired treats. You’ll find four food options, including Frushi (strawberry, pineapple, and honeydew wrapped in coconut rice and tri-color soy wrap served with coconut cream sauce and toasted coconut) and the Ramen Cup (Ramen noodle salad shaken in a cup with fresh vegetables and grilled chicken served with yuzu-soy vinaigrette and chili oil).

Today, we started with the Takoyaki ($7.75).

The octopus tako balls are served with spicy mayo, Okonomiyaki sauce, and crunch rice pearls. They’re basically served like fried rice balls with octopus on the inside.

The sauce and spicy mayo add lots of flavor and a bit of a kick to the dish. However, the octopus has a gummy texture that we, unfortunately, found pretty unappetizing. Overall, we’d call this one a skip.
Fortunately, our next pick went over MUCH better!

A perennial Flower & Garden favorite, the Frushi ($6.50) is sweet, colorful, and generally just a whole lot of fun.
The rolls feature various fruits all wrapped snuggly inside white sticky rice and a tri-colored soy wrap.

As usual, the Frushi is a solid festival pick!
