A Fire Weather Watch Has Been Issued For Walt Disney World
The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Fire Weather Watch for much of Central Florida, including Walt Disney World.
The watch went into effect at 11:00 AM this afternoon and is expected to continue until 7 PM.
According to the National Weather Service, the relatively low humidity and breezy conditions in East Central Florida today have created conditions where any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.

The Fire Weather Watch is currently in effect for the following counties:

These conditions meet the threshold for a Fire Weather Warning.
How This Impacts Walt Disney World
At this time, the weather conditions do not appear to be impacting guests’ vacations.
However, if you are staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, outdoor burning is not recommended. Additionally, residents are being instructed to listen to later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.
