Happy Mardi Gras, Disney friends! It is Fat Tuesday, and we are ready to kick off the celebration.
We are heading to Port Orleans at Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate!

Plenty of guests are here and ready for the fun. There is merchandise, colorful decor, tasty treats, and a vibrant parade. Let’s check out all of the fun!
Tasty Treats and Colorful Decor
If you can’t be in the bayou on Fat Tuesday, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort is the next best thing.
Every year, this Disney resort boasts a colorful celebration that is perfect for fans.
One of our favorite things to do is grab a tasty treat- and the beignets here are the best!
We aren’t the only ones who think so! Check out these early morning lines:
The resort features green, purple, and gold decor, including banners and Mardi Gras- themed masks, creating the perfect vibes.
The Merch
We also got a chance to check out the merchandise before the parade starts. This year’s offerings include tees, tumblers, bags, King Cake, and totes!
We love the themed merchandise and spotted these finds at Jackson Square Gifts and Desires.
We also spotted exclusive, limited-edition pins celebrating the resort and Mardi Gras.

The Parade
We are ready for the parade and made sure to grab our spot early!
Plenty of guests are ready to celebrate and also grab their perfect spot!
The parade starts at 10am, and this year’s theme is “The Magical Music of Disney.”
Here is an excellent look at the parade route!
The parade starts at Port Orleans – Riverside and follows a scenic path along the Sassagoula River, ending at the French Quarter Courtyard.

Cast members dressed in vibrant apparel lead the parade with “The Magical Music of Disney” banner and are followed by musicians!

They are having so much fun, and the guests are too!
Who better to lead the parade than Princess Tiana?
Colorful stiltwalkers join in the fun!
And enthusiastic cast members pass out themed goodies to the guests.
Here comes our favorite part! The decorated Mardi Gras golf carts!
First up is the Moana-inspired float.
Hei Hei even makes an appearance!

We also spotted The Hunchback of Nore Dame!

We love all the colorful, themed golf carts and vibrant music! The parade was so much fun and a great way to kick off the Mardi Gras season at Disney World!
