REVIEW: Pescado Zarandeado at the 2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival!

We’re here at the first day of the 2025 Disney California Adventure (DCA) Food & Wine Festival!

We’ve grabbed our festival guide, purchased our Sip and Savor Pass, visited the beer garden, and just started digging into the California-inspired cuisine sprinkled throughout the park. And while the booths have a lot of the festival’s eats and drinks, select dining locations throughout DCA have festival offerings of their own–let’s check one out right now!

Paradise Garden Grill – 2025 DCA Food & Wine Festival

Paradise Garden Grill is one of DCA’s dining locations that offers special menu items for the festival! (Pro tip: Paradise Garden Grill is right next to the Festival Beer Garden, so you can grab a festival dish and craft beer in one swoop!)

Here are all of the festival items being offered at the location:

• Chicken Taquito Ahogado: Served in salsa verde with Spanish rice, avocado crema, sour cream, pickled onion, cotija, and cilantro (New)
• Al Pastor Tacos: Pineapple-achiote-marinated pork with avocado spread and tomatillo salsa served with Spanish rice and refried beans and topped with queso fresco
• Esquites Loaded Chips: Chile-lime chips smothered in corn kernels, cotija cheese, chile-lime seasoning, and crema 
• Huarache with soy-based chorizo beans, seasoned steak tips, lettuce, cheese, avocado crema, and tomatillo salsa served with Spanish rice and refried beans and topped with nopales pico de gallo (Plant-based)  
• Pescado Zarandeado: Whole grilled fish with corn tortillas, refried beans, Spanish rice, zesty slaw, pickled vegetables, and a side of chips and salsa (New) 
• Street-style Taco: Al pastor taco in a corn tortilla served with Spanish rice and refried beans with choice of small DASANI water or small lowfat milk (Kids Meal)  
• Cheese Quesadilla: Whole wheat tortilla filled with jack and cheddar, served with a Cuties Mandarin Orange and applesauce with choice of small DASANI water or small lowfat milk  
• Lime Parfait: Layers of graham cracker crust, lime cream cheese mousse, and lime-orange gelée topped with chantilly (New) 
• Cantarito-Style Paloma: Reposado tequila, habanero-infused pineapple juice, rock melon syrup, lime juice and Fresca, garnished with a pineapple wheel and Tajín
• Hard Peach Tea Seltzer (New) 

Pescado Zarandeado Review

While we’d love to try it all, we have a finite amount of stomach space, so we only grabbed the Pescado Zarandeado! The new dish is whole grilled fish with corn tortillas, refried beans, Spanish rice, zesty slaw, pickled vegetables, and a side of chips and salsa. It’s not Sip and Savor Pass eligible, but you can use your Magic Key discount if applicable.

The fish is fresh, tender, and grilled with a citrus marinade. The dish is certainly big enough to share and is served with fresh and fluffy rice, smooth refried beans, crispy chips, and a mild verde salsa.
