We’re here at the very first day of the festival, and we’ve already checked out the Festival Beer Garden, Soarin’ Over California, and more. But now, it’s time to gear up with our Sip and Savor Pass and head over to a food booth to bite into something golden!

Here, guests can dig into the following menu items:
- Musubi Fried Rice: Aulani Resort-inspired steamed rice with egg, glazed spiced ham, umami mayo, and furikake (New)
- Cherry Cobbler Pot de Crème: Vanilla custard, cherry filling, and oat crumble (Plant-based) (New)
- Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew: Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Mexico Origin Coffee, oat milk, demerara, maple & brown butter syrups, topped with blueberry sweet cream, garnished with cinnamon-flavored cereal crumble

The Musubi Fried Rice brought to you by Disney Vacation Club (love the plug), is an Aulani Resort-inspired dish that debuted at the booth this year! The dish costs $8.50 or one Sip and Savor Pass coupon.

The dish has steamed rice with egg, glazed spiced ham, umami mayo, and furikake. We’ll be honest, the rice was simply steamed white rice–lacking sauce–so it hid behind the other flavors.

However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing when the glazed spiced ham exists in this dish. The ham is the true winner of the dish, with small, bite-sized pieces of crispy, flavorful meat. The glaze has a slight sweetness and tang, similar to a teriyaki sauce.

The ham completely compensates for the bland rice, making the dish a hit. (We’ll be back for seconds.)
