NEW Mercado de Antojos Booth Shines at the 2025 DCA Food & Wine Festival

Mercado De Antojos
Right now, our reporters are over at one of the festival’s most enticing marketplace booths — Mercado de Antojos. New to the festival for 2025, this vibrant kitchen is cooking up some delicious-sounding Mexican-inspired fare, and it all sounded too good to pass up on.
“Antojos” means “cravings,” so is this something we’ll be craving throughout the festival? Let’s go find out!
As we can see from the menu, there are two food items available at this booth, plus two different drinks.
Also on sale here is the official festival “Eco Stacker” cup from Corkcicle, available with the purchase of an alcoholic drink. These cost $13.
Birria Mac & Cheese
Ok, I’m hungry….let’s dig in! The first item we ordered today from Mercado de Antojos was the Birria Mac & Cheese, topped with an onion-cilantro sauce and a tortilla crunch.
Looks good, right?
Now, don’t be put off by the small-sized appearance of this dish, as our reporters actually told us the meal was perfectly hearty!
The mac & cheese was saucy and rich in that cheese flavor, yet allowing for a bit of a kick too. The birria throughout was tender, and those chips added a perfect complimentary crunch…despite looking a bit like cornflakes on top!
Perhaps our only grip with this was that the guacamole seemed thickly dolloped inside the pasta, and we’d perhaps prefer it a little less prominent in there in order to fully enjoy the meal.
Either way, we’d certainly recommend this to any mac and cheese-loving readers!

Raspberry Horchata
We obviously had to order a drink to wash down the pasta, and it was this Raspberry Horchata that caught our eye off the menu!
This non-alcoholic horchata blends raspberry, almond, and cinnamon syrups in a mix of condensed milk, milk, and rice pudding. There’s even a cute skewer of raspberries on top to garnish, making the drink feel rather summery in the midst of this long winter!
The drink was another hit among our reporters, who loved the refreshing flavors and subtle raspberry taste this offered. They shared that nothing tasted artificial in the mix, and everything blended together beautifully for a smooth and memorable horchata.
Fabulous! This costs $7.50.
If horchata isn’t your thing, Mercado de Antojos also offers another drink: the Watermelon Cucumber Mojito. While we didn’t order this one today, it’s worth knowing that the white rum and watermelon liqueur mojito option is available on the menu for $18!
Café de Olla Tres Leches Cake
The last item we ordered here was the Tres Leches cake, which cost us $7.75.
This Tres Leches is infused with Café de Olla, topped with piloncillo Chantilly cream, cinnamon, and the most adorable Mickey-shaped cookie. While our reporters enjoyed this, it wasn’t the most exciting thing we’ve tried, but that’s ok!
According to our reporters, the flavor of this cake was tasty, with a subtle hint of coffee coming through. It wasn’t overly sweet and the cream was light — however, it was the consistency of the cake itself which we felt was a bit…lacking. Unfortunately, it was a bit too mushy for our liking, almost as though it had soaked for far too long in all the milk.
Despite this, we think you’ll agree that it is still the most beautiful-looking item on the Mercado de Antojos menu!
In conclusion, we’re really excited to have Mercado de Antojos arrive at the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, and we’d certainly recommend you go visit on your next trip to the festival.
