Everything You Need to Know Ahead of the 97th Oscars on ABC and Hulu
With just days to go until the 97th Oscars kick off in Los Angeles, we here at MickeyBlog want to make sure you are prepared for Hollywood’s biggest night.
This year’s Academy Awards ceremony, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will begin on Sunday, March 2, at 7 PM ET. The glitzy ceremony will air on ABC and, for the first time ever, stream live on Hulu.

Globally, the ceremony will stream on Disney+.
Disney Is Up For 15 Oscars
In addition to presenting the 97th Oscars, Disney is up for multiple awards.
Across The Walt Disney Studios (20th Century Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Searchlight Pictures, and Walt Disney Studios), content brands (National Geographic Documentary Films), and platforms (Disney+ and Hulu), Disney was nominated for 15 Academy Awards this year.

Leading the way is Searchlight Picture’s A Complete Unknown, which earned eight nominations.
The Bob Dylan biopic is up for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Costume Design, and Best Sound.

Plenty of Programming Leading Up to the Ceremony
While the Oscars will not officially occur until Sunday night, Disney has numerous programming scheduled in anticipation of the ceremony.
Good Morning America‘s Lara Spencer will be in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, previewing the Oscars. Her reporting will include a sneak peek of The Governor’s Ball with Wolfgang Puck.

On Friday, Hulu will premiere Countdown to the Oscars with Robin Roberts: A Special Edition of 20/20, which will see Disney Legend Robin Roberts interview Oscar nominees Jesse Eisenberg, Cynthia Erivo, Coralie Fargeat, James Mangold, and others.

Finally, on Sunday, ABC News will present the star-studded On the Red Carpet at the Oscars pre-show beginning at 3:30 PM ET. Before the ceremony kicks off, Julianna Hough and Jesse Palmer will then host The Oscars Red Carpet Show, the official lead-in to the ceremony.
The Stars Are Coming Out
When the 97th Oscars arrive, the ceremony will be a star-studded affair.
So far, Joe Alwyn, Halle Berry, Sterling K. Brown, Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Ana de Armas, Lily-Rose Depp, Disney Legend Robert Downey Jr., Elle Fanning, Disney Legend Whoopi Goldberg, Selena Gomez, Goldie Hawn, Scarlett Johansson, John Lithgow, Cillian Murphy, Connie Nielsen, Amy Poehler, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, June Squibb, Ben Stiller, Emma Stone, Disney Legend Oprah Winfrey, and Bowen Yang are confirmed to present during the show.

Additionally, Doja Cat, Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, LISA of Blackpink, Queen Latifah, and RAYE will be performing.
Kelly and Mark Will Present the ‘After the Oscars Show’
During the presentation, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos will wait in the wings to speak to the winners. The Live with Kelly and Mark team will also create the fan-favorite After the Oscars Show special, highlighting the ceremony’s big winners, best moments, and fabulous fashions.

On Monday, Kelly and Mark will also talk to special guests and introduce show-stopping musical performances.
