Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Officially Debuts Standby Line (And Suffers Delayed Opening)
A new era in Magic Kingdom history dawned this morning, as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure officially discontinued its virtual queue and debuted a traditional standby line.
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has utilized a virtual queue since it opened last June. To ride the Magic Kingdom’s new E-Ticket attraction, guests had to use the Walt Disney World app to secure a boarding group.
They could then head over to the attraction when it was their turn to ride.
While this process reduced the amount of time guests had to wait in line, it also meant that visitors who could not secure a boarding group could not ride the attraction.
The Virtual Queue Was Discontinued Today
Beginning today, however, guests have the option of waiting in a traditional standby line or purchasing a Lightning Lane Pass for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Guests Flock to Frontierland
Guests visiting Magic Kingdom this morning flocked to Frontierland to get their opportunity to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
As the attraction does not participate in Magic Kingdom Early Theme Park Entry, even resort guests must wait until the park opens to ride.
Here is another look at the scene heading into Frontierland.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Suffers Delayed Opening
Unfortunately, for visitors hoping to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure first thing in the morning, the attraction was down.
In what has become a frequent occurrence, Bayou Adventure experienced a delayed opening.
Guests were allowed to queue even though Cast Members did not have an estimated time for when the attraction would open.
Thankfully, by 9:40 AM ET, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was up and running! At this time, the attraction posted a 45-minute wait.

The attraction eventually opened!
While it is great to see that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is now open, we still don’t have a good idea of how long the line will get at rope drop. Today’s reasonable 45-minute wait was likely shortened by guests who saw that the attraction was down and headed elsewhere.
We will report back tomorrow.
