‘Star Wars’ Star Jokes That George Lucas and Samuel L. Jackson “Ruined My Career” By Making a Major Change to ‘Revenge of the Sith’
20 years after Revenge of the Sith hit theaters, Star Wars actor Daniel Logan has still not forgiven George Lucas for cutting his character from the film.
For those who don’t remember Logan played a young Boba Fett in 2002’s Attack of the Clones. In the film, the future bounty hunter sees his father Jango Fett killed by Mace Windu, setting him on a path that will eventually lead him to a Sarlacc Pit.
Initially, George Lucas intended to bring Logan for the final installment in the prequel trilogy. According to early concepts for the film, Boba Fett would have gotten his revenge on Mace Windu by killing him in combat.

Later, the story was changed so that Windu met his demise at the hands of Palpatine. With his character’s big moment removed, Logan was cut from the film altogether.
Logan Recalls Being Cut From ‘Revenge of the Sith’
During a recent appearance at GalaxyCon Richmond (via The Pop Verse), Logan spoke about being cut from Revenge of the Sith. The actor still believes he should have been the one to kill the legendary Jedi.

“George Lucas held me for Revenge of the Sith, and we had ‘Revenge of,’ but they hadn’t finished the title. I believe it was probably going to be Revenge of the Fett, because the storyline, which you can go and see online, there was a storyboard that was already created that Boba Fett was meant to have another arena scene with Mace Windu.”
While it is unlikely that the third Star Wars prequel was ever going to be named Revenge of the Fett, it is true that Lucas originally intended for Boba to get his revenge in the film.
“Mace was going to come at Boba like he did with Jango, but because Boba had already experienced beforehand what had happened, I hit the jetpacks, I fly upside down, or on my back. As I’m flying on my back with the jetpacks along the ground, I pull out Jango’s blasters and I shoot him right between the stomach, and that’s how Mace Windu was meant to die,” Logan continued.

“I was sitting there at Lucasfilm like [makes excited noises]. And they’re like, ‘Okay, we’re holding you for a year.’ And I was like, ‘Okay.’ I kept calling, ‘Is it my turn yet? Is it my turn?’”
Why the Change?
It has long been known that Lucas initially considered having Fett kill Windu. The prevailing notion has been that the filmmaker decided that the bounty hunter was too young to best the Jedi.
According to Logan, however, there were more variables at play.

“Samuel Jackson went into George Lucas’s office and he says, ‘You know, I don’t think that this young kid should have the power to be able to kill someone who sits on the Jedi Council. And plus, I don’t want to be killed by no punk kid.’ I happen to be that punk kid.”
With that fateful meeting, as Logan recalls it, Boba Fett was written out of Revenge of the Sith.
“Could’ve at Least Given Me an Opportunity in the Marvel Series”
While the actor made it clear that he has no hard feelings towards Jackson, he did joke that he perhaps deserves a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“If you’re going to ruin my career on that part, you could’ve at least given me an opportunity in the Marvel series,” he quipped.
“Like, ‘Hey kid, sorry you didn’t kill me in that. But you could be my friend and, you know, Iron Man, or something.’”
