The Walt Disney Company Takes Home 8 Screen Actors Guild Awards
Hollywood’s biggest stars gathered together last night in Los Angeles for the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.
Against the backdrop of the devastating Hollywood wildfires, the SAG Awards provided a place for Los Angeles to come together, show its resilience, and honor the great performances of 2024.

In what has become an increasingly frequent occurrence this Awards Season, The Walt Disney Company had another strong showing last night, bringing home eight SAG Awards across the Walt Disney Studios, content brands, and other platforms.
Disney’s Film Winners
Timothée Chalamet made SAG history, taking home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for his turn as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.
At just 29 years old, he is the youngest actor to ever take home the award.

Disney’s other film winner was Kieran Culkin, who won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in Searchlight’s A Real Pain.
Disney’s Television Winners
The bulk of Disney’s SAG Awards came from television, where Shōgun and Only Murders in the Building had great nights.
FX’s Shōgun, an Awards Season darling, added four more trophies to its case, including Outstanding Performance in a Drama Series and Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series.

Hiroyuki Sanada also won the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series award, while Anna Sawai won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series.
Finally, there was Only Murders in the Building. The Hulu original series won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Additionally, Martin Short won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance as Oliver Putnam in the comedy.
