Adventurers Outpost Is Closing For Refurbishment This Week in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

If you plan to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom this week, you may have to look harder to find Mickey and Minnie, as the park’s signature meet and greet is closing for refurbishment.

For years, Mickey and Minnie have welcomed guests to their exploration headquarters at the Adventurers Outpost.

Conveniently located on Discovery Island, the Adventurers Outpost offers an engaging meet-and-greet experience and is the perfect backdrop for making memories.

There, fans of all ages can interact with Mickey and Minnie in their adventurer outfits, which have been a staple of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Adventurers Outpost Is Closing For a Few Days

Unfortunately, for guests visiting Disney World this week, the Adventurers Outpost is undergoing a brief refurbishment and will be closed from February 25 through February 27.

While Disney has not announced the reason for the refurbishment, the brevity of the downtime suggests that it will simply be routine maintenance.

At this time, it is unclear whether Mickey and Minnie will meet at an alternate location. Hopefully, however, we will learn more soon!

Other Meet and Greet Opportunities

Guests hoping to meet their favorite Disney characters will still be able to find Kevin, Pocahontas, and Moana on Discovery Island. Additionally, Donald, Daisy, Chip, Dale, Goofy, and Pluto remain in DinoLand U.S.A.

Finally, guests visiting Rafiki’s Planet Watch should keep their eyes out for Timon and Rafiki.
